Principal and managing attorney, Mazie A. Harris, possesses more than 15 years of experience as an attorney, representing clients from real estate law, DUI law, bankruptcy law, and cannabis law.

Mazie A. Harris is the founder of The HarLaw Group, LLC (“HLG”). Ms. Harris directs strategy for the firm and manages day-to-day operations, as well as representing clients in the courtroom, at administrative hearings, and in conference room negotiations and meetings.  Ms. Harris’ areas of practice are real estate law, cannabis law, bankruptcy law, and DUI law.

In 2012, Ms. Harris was appointed to a six-year term as Commissioner for the Illinois Court of Claims. In this capacity, Ms. Harris presides over hearings filed by citizens and corporate entities against State agencies.  As Commissioner, Ms. Harris conducts trials, gathers evidence, and makes confidential recommendations to the court as to the disposition of cases.

Nathaniel Niesen is a veteran criminal trial litigator, with extensive experience in Cook County, DuPage County, Will County, and Kane County. He has successfully fought hundreds of cases, ranging from murders to drug charges to misdemeanors. His expertise includes DUI felony offenses.

Nathaniel earned his bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric from the University of Illinois in 2003 and his juris doctor from DePaul University in 2010. He participated in clerkships for the Cook County Public Defender’s Office in both the Multiple Defendant Division and the Traffic Division. In his spare time, he enjoys playing music, gaming and spending time with his wife and two children.

Robert (Bob) Reategui is from New Jersey. Mr. Reategui earned his B.A. in Philosophy from Montclair State University in 2015 and his Juris Doctorate degree from The John Marshall Law School in 2019. Mr. Reategui conducts research, and drafts memorandums and pleadings for the firm. Mr. Reategui is fluent in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish.
